American Legion Legislative Calls for Adequate Funding of Budget

 #LoweryWhitehead American Legion Post 29 in Lawton Oklahoma wants to pass along these important notes from ALA Legislative:

"Budgets are very important to taking care of our veterans.
Concerning the Department of Veterans Affairs funding- please be sure to let your legislators know that we need to assure there is mandatory funding for a large part of the VA budget so the VA doesn't have to go through the budget process each year.

 
Concerning Department of Defense funding-Adequate funding for our military's daily salaries and housing and the equipment they need to complete their mission must be assured.

Concerning State Veterans Homes-We need to make sure there is adequate funding for our veterans in these facilities."
