(Lawton, OK - October 2018)  Lowery-Whitehead American Legion Post 29 was honored to award Charles St. Claire a pin recognizing his fifty years of continuous membership in the American Legion. Lowery-Whitehead American Legion Post 29 commander Claude F. Bates, Jr and American Legion Department of Oklahoma District 6b commander John Bishop were on hand to meet with St. Claire and present his 50 year pin.

St Claire highlighted comradery and a sense of brotherhood as reasons for his long standing membership. He shared stories of members of the post from the time he first joined and related some of the history of Lowery- Whitehead American Legion Post 29 to both commanders.
