Lowery-Whitehead American Legion Post 29 Hosts Fundraiser For Remodel

(LAWTON, OK March 4, 2018) Lowery-Whitehead American Legion Post 29 and the Latin American Community Club hosted a fajita dinner fundraiser on Sunday to give back to local Veterans. The organizations want to remodel Lowery-Whitehead American Legion Post 29 and give back to Veteran through their respective programs. Post 29 is host to organizations that a have a strong community and Veteran presence like Latin American Community Club, Military Order of The Purple Hearts, Veteran Service  Officer Bill Trice, The 40 & 8, APA Junior League, and Hungry Hearts Feeding Ministry to name a few. 
People got to eat two fajitas, rice, and beans for their donation.Event coordinator and Lowery-Whitehead Sons of the American Legion Squadron 29 member Junior Mendieta said the day was dedicated to the veterans.
"We're trying to show the community here in Lawton
that we are here to help the veterans and things like that," said Mendieta.
